I have been working as a hair and makeup artist on local and international film and television for the past 11 years. Working across a wide range of genres has allowed me to hone my artistry beyond just a standard beauty hair and make up skill set. Some of my specialities include but are not limited to: tattoo design and application, tattoo coverage, wigs and facial hair application, character and period hair and makeup, ageing, special effects (blood, gore, skin diseases etc), small prosthetic application and body painting.

 

Having worked my way up from junior assistant to key makeup, a position which I have held for the past 4 years. I am confident running a team, overseeing my department on set and dealing with directors, producers, agency and clients.

 

Working internationally within The United States, Canada,  EU (Hungary & Slovenia), Thailand and around Africa is made easier with my South African and American passports. This has allowed me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people, which is something that interests and excites me. I particularly enjoy working with children.

 

These experiences have been invaluable to my growth as a hair and makeup artist, and have provided me with a unique set of skills for commercial work, which I am now pursuing. Whilst I am building up my network in the commercial industry, I am fully capable of keying commercials, however I am still happy to assist.
